At a distance of 87 km from Rameshwaram and 31 km from Ramanathapuram, Erwadi is positioned on the ocean shore in between keelakarai and Valinokkam. The city is known for the shrine of Hazrat Sultan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed Badusha Radiyallah Ta’ala Anhu. It’s 800-year-old tomb of Sultan Ibrahim Syed Aulia who got here from Arabia through Cannanore.
